MY Corsa B

Okay, If some of you haven't read my little newbie thing then I obv have a corsa b but at the min it's running like a slag!

Fair enough I know the exhaust is blowing but I'm also having problems with the ECU light coming on...

Basically when I try and put the power down it wont let me...Changed the spark plugs...still not solved the problem...it's had a new lambdner sensor, yet it still runs like s**t...I have bin told that it might be the flexi pipe or the manifold or even the manifold gasket...but sealed the manifold gasket the other day and nothing...Its got no back pressure at all...I dont know what it is...

My car is starting to sound like a tractor haahaa...

I dunno I'll have to run it past the fella cuz I haven't got a clue what the injectors are...Obviously they are pretty self explanitory but I wouldn't be able to tell you where they are haa haa I'm a thick sh!t when it comes to cars!!

when you say running like a slag do you mean

when you start it up it fires 1st time and ticks over ok?
but when you put your foot down it either coughs and splutters or just dies.

or takes ages to fire?

right in the morning I will start it up...then like 5-10 seconds later it will die...so I restart it...the second time I start it up it will rev to over 2000 rpm, the third time I do it and try to drive off itt will jerk and judder as if it doesn't want to be driven

sounds like idle control valve and possibly cat to me but without having a look myself im just having a guess.but they are both easy to check

going to be changing the flexi pipe and the manifold at the end of the month to see if that helps...it would help if you weren't in luton lol!

or you wasnt in Derby get yourself a haynes book the icv can be cleaned with some white spirit and put back on they just get caked in poo sometimes,restricting the float inside.
as for the cat thats a long shot as when that propper goes you put your foot down hard it cuts out,but if you press it down slowly you can gain speed and not die on ya.

hmm it's not the cat my fella tapped it today and it wasnt rattling which it apparently does when the cat is fooked...oh well new manifold me thinks he also said its not the idle control valve...

I still think it's injectors

Mymates micra had the same problem and it was all down to injectors lol

as i said mate it's all guess work from this distance chances are it's something so simple i wouldnt have thought of it anyway.

I dont know because it also sounds like its blowing from the manifold

sounds like manifold or the cover but wouldnt know without lookin

had a look at the spark plugs today and the one closest to the passenger side the threads on it are fooked!!!!!! PISSIN THING!!
