The Painters Pontiac Firebird......

This is another car that i own.
ive had it about 3 years now, it used to belong to a mate, but hes no longer with us anymore.

I bought it as a basket case, in fact ive scrapped better, but i did the car anyway, it was first done in what used to be my back garden, but ive moved 3 times since then and the cars been in 4 workshops ( mine ) too,

Its been modified by me, but if you didnt know Trans am's you would never spot all the changes, in fact some Trans am people still dont!!

The car......







This is the engine that i built, its a slightly overbored 5.7 Small Block Chevvy, filled with lots of goodies including high compression pistons..... after it was run in, i stripped it to check all the tolerances.....


It was Primed in my back garden and i had the flu at the time!

Fabricating BMW 5 Series Leather to fit...... as far as i know this is the only one in the world!


I fabricated the rear to accept an earlier model ( smaller ) rear window.


Another paint job, Bmw blue with a pearl stripe and Metalflake over the top! Oh and lots more changes!

All the interior panels were smoothed and painted.




19" rims was next...... 9.5 X 19 on the rear and 8.5 X 19 on the front......


When the sun hits it it just POPS !!


This is what i do, im a painter and fabricator...... oh and ill tune/ build engines as well.... i love it ........ its my life!

T tops? theyre great but they have a habit of leaking terribly and if you get the wrong ones you can no longer buy the seals for them!!

ahh thats a shame, really like them...

i have been lucky enought to of had a shot the firebird and it blows the mind, power is instint and the sound well lets just say you have to hear it

i agree with u m8, as that perticular trans am is the bandit car.....and u done a good job, u changed colour twice to get it how u want and for me...i think its the danglies mate, will have to have a meet so i can mooch round it
